IMPORTANT DATES FROM THE COMPANY’S HISTORY
- 1987 – establishment of the company and the start-up of activities related to the design and manufacture of parts of machine drives,
- 1991 – the Manufacturing Plant in Katowice-Piotrowice put into operation,
- 1997 – a subsidy granted from the EU-financed programme PHARE-STRUDER for developing the activities related to the production of couplings and brakes – purchase of new manufacturing machines,
- 1997 – transfer of the Manufacturing Plant to the new facility in Świętochłowice-Lipiny,
- 1999 – rebranding from Pol-Boys Sp. z o.o.,to the current name Fabryka Elementów Napędowych FENA Sp. z o.o.
- 2004 – Integrated Quality Management and Environmental Management System certification acc. to PN-EN ISO 9001 and PN-EN ISO 14001 standards,
- 2005 – Quality Management System certification according to "PN-EN 13980 Potentially explosive atmospheres. Application of quality systems" standard.
- 2005 – subsidy granted from the European Union from the Sectoral Operational Programme - Increase in Competitiveness of Enterprises for the Modernisation of the Technology of the Products Offered – Purchase of CNC Machines.
- 2007 – 20th anniversary of establishment of the company, celebrated at VI Conference "Drives in Transportation Machines", coorganised by FENA with Department of Logistics and Mechanical Handling of Faculty of Transport, Silesian University of Technology. The conference took place in 25-26 of October 2007 in Wisła, Poland.
