AHM SHOE BRAKES WITH ELECTROMAGNETIC RELEASE

AHM SHOE BRAKES WITH ELECTROMAGNETIC RELEASE

The brakes are applied in the mechanisms where little braking is required within a time unit and short brake and release times. They are designed for intermittent operation. The principle of the electromagnetic release: a magnetic stream is excited in a fixed yoke and mobile armature and, as a result, the armature is nearing the yoke and the brake is released. Special coils accommodated to the supply current and its voltage are used for exciting the magnetic stream. The magnetic stream fades at the time the supply voltage fades and the armature falls under the pressure of the compressed spring (installed in the brake) and the brake is braked. The braking moment is adjusted by changing the spring deflection.

Braking moment: 20-600 Nm /basic range/

Brake drum diameter: 120-320 mm /basic range/
